징계의 도구였던 바벨론을 심판하시고 자기 백성을 회복시켜 그의 목장에 다시 살게 하십니다. 이스라엘은 그 땅에서 영육의 풍성함과 만족함을 누릴 것입니다.

[ 예레미야 50:11 - 50:20 ] (찬송374장)

11나의 소유를 노략하는 자여 너희가 즐거워하며 기뻐하고 타작하는 송아지 같이 발굽을 구르며 군마 같이 우는도다 12그러므로 너희의 어머니가 큰 수치를 당하리라 너희를 낳은 자가 치욕을 당하리라 보라 그가 나라들 가운데의 마지막과 광야와 마른 땅과 거친 계곡이 될 것이며 13여호와의 진노로 말미암아 주민이 없어 완전히 황무지가 될 것이라 바벨론을 지나가는 자마다 그 모든 재난에 놀라며 탄식하리로다

 14바벨론을 둘러 대열을 벌이고 활을 당기는 모든 자여 화살을 아끼지 말고 쏘라 그가 여호와께 범죄하였음이라 15그 주위에서 고함을 지르리로다 그가 항복하였고 그 요새는 무너졌고 그 성벽은 허물어졌으니 이는 여호와께서 그가 행한 대로 그에게 내리시는 보복이라 그가 행한 대로 그에게 갚으시는도다 16파종하는 자와 추수 때에 낫을 잡은 자를 바벨론에서 끊어 버리라 사람들이 그 압박하는 칼을 두려워하여 각기 동족에게로 돌아가며 고향으로 도망하리라

 17이스라엘은 흩어진 양이라 사자들이 그를 따르도다 처음에는 앗수르 왕이 먹었고 다음에는 바벨론의 느부갓네살 왕이 그의 뼈를 꺾도다 18그러므로 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이와 같이 말하노라 보라 내가 앗수르의 왕을 벌한 것 같이 바벨론의 왕과 그 땅을 벌하고 19이스라엘을 다시 그의 목장으로 돌아가게 하리니 그가 갈멜과 바산에서 양을 기를 것이며 그의 마음이 에브라임과 길르앗 산에서 만족하리라 20여호와의 말씀이니라 그 날 그 때에는 이스라엘의 죄악을 찾을지라도 없겠고 유다의 죄를 찾을지라도 찾아내지 못하리니 이는 내가 남긴 자를 용서할 것임이라

11“Though you rejoice, though you exult, O plunderers of my heritage, though you frolic like a heifer in the pasture, and neigh like stallions,12 your mother shall be utterly shamed, and she who bore you shall be disgraced. Behold, she shall be the last of the nations, a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.13 Because of the wrath of the LORD she shall not be inhabited but shall be an utter desolation; everyone who passes by Babylon shall be appalled, and hiss because of all her wounds.14 Set yourselves in array against Babylon all around, all you who bend the bow; shoot at her, spare no arrows, for she has sinned against the LORD.15 Raise a shout against her all around; she has surrendered; her bulwarks have fallen; her walls are thrown down.  For this is the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance on her; do to her as she has done.16 Cut off from Babylon the sower, and the one who handles the sickle in time of harvest; because of the sword of the oppressor, every one shall turn to his own people, and every one shall flee to his own land.17 “Israel is a hunted sheep driven away by lions. First the king of Assyria devoured him, and now at last Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has gnawed his bones.18 Therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I am bringing punishment on the king of Babylon and his land, as I punished the king of Assyria.19 I will restore Israel to his pasture, and he shall feed on Carmel and in Bashan, and his desire shall be satisfied on the hills of Ephraim and in Gilead.20 In those days and in that time, declares the LORD, iniquity shall be sought in Israel, and there shall be none, and sin in Judah, and none shall be found, for I will pardon those whom I leave as a remnant.
